People's Champion Apprentice

Fruit Towers - London

innocent started with a simple mission: to make drinks that make it easy to do yourself some good. In 1999 we concocted a few smoothies in our kitchen and tested them on people at a music festival; today we’re blending every type of fruit & veg under the sun and selling drinks right across Europe. We have great ambitions: to show the world that you can build a successful business that cares about more than just profit, and to leave things better than we find them. We’re proud to call ourselves Europe’s favourite little healthy drinks company, but we’re still growing. And that means we need more brilliant people who share our ambition, to join in with the next, most exciting, part of our story.

what you'll be doing

We're looking for an apprentice to join our award winning customer service team.

Sitting in the wider UK brand and marketing team, you’ll spend your days talking to our drinkers by email, social media, letter and on the banana phone. You'll sort out any problems they might have, answer their questions, listen to their kind words and, most likely, have many a random chat. You'll do your best to delight them with each and every one of your responses, so you'll be the (proper) human leg of the brand.

We're after an excellent copywriter who is great on the phone, and a good listener, capable of capturing all of the feedback we get (good or bad), and passing it on to the relevant teams in the business. You’ll be a go-getter, and it’s crucial that you’re passionate about innocent and everything we do.

If you think you’re up for delivering the highest level of customer service to innocent drinkers around the UK, we’d love to hear from you.

you'll have

As we have to follow apprenticeship guidelines, we’ll be unable to able to consider candidates that already hold a qualification at level 3 or higher in marketing (including formal training). You'll also need 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject and GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above.

We’ll also be looking for:

  • a flair for writing creatively, a good grasp of the innocent tone of voice, and the ability to adapt your style to different channels
  • a genuine passion for people and looking after them. You've plenty of empathy, and the ability to judge someone's tone and respond in a way that turns bad situations into great ones
  • resilience to perform under pressure and stay positive when things get busy
  • a knack for process, structure and prioritisation. You're not only good at coming up with ideas, you also see them through. You don't shy away from a spreadsheet

 Bonus points if you have:
  • experience with customer service or using social media platforms for business
  • confidence to champion the voice of our drinkers loudly and proudly within the business
  • bags of initiative. You spot opportunities to improve things and you take ownership of doing just that

you'll get

  • £20,000 a year
  • for the 'formal study' bit, you'll complete an 18 or 24 - month course in Digital Marketing/Customer Service and get an apprenticeship qualification
You'll also get loads of opportunities to:

  • work on projects that really make a difference to the people that buy our drinks, like this one:
  • use your creativity every day
  • develop yourself and your writing style
  • learn from the UK brand team's years of experience in marketing and social media nonsense

You will help us to keep doing business the right way – keeping innocent one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work, using our B Corp status to inspire wider change, and reinforcing our culture of staying little as we grow big.

In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting, challenging role in a fast-growing and dynamic business, with plenty of career opportunities in the UK and across Europe as well as a competitive rewards package.  We also have some great clubs, a free breakfast and as many smoothies as you can shake a stick at. Take a look at our reward page for more details.

If you think you have everything we're looking for and more, then we'd love to hear from you. You'll need to get your skates on though, as applications close on Sunday 21st July.

Dolly Parton may have worked Nine to Five but you don't have to. We're all about being healthy and happy here at innocent so we're open to a chat about flexible working. No promises, but we reckon that if it's good for you, then it's good for us.

No agencies please.
