Group Forecasting Specialist

Fruit Towers - London

IT and Business Change

innocent started with a simple mission: to make drinks that make it easy to do yourself some good. In 1999 we concocted a few smoothies in our kitchen and tested them on people at a music festival; today we’re blending every type of fruit & veg under the sun and selling drinks right across Europe. We have great ambitions: to show the world that you can build a successful business that cares about more than just profit, and to leave things better than we find them. We’re proud to call ourselves Europe’s favourite little healthy drinks company, but we’re still growing. And that means we need more brilliant people who share our ambition, to join in with the next, most exciting, part of our story.

what you'll be doing

We are looking for a Forecasting Specialist.  This role sits in the Group Forecasting team, which is part of the bigger Business Delivery team. We ensure the business has a single, neutral and high quality sales forecast which ultimately informs everything from how much fruit we buy to how much stock we make.

In this role you will be driving our great monthly forecasting process, making recommendations for forecast improvements and ensuring the stakeholders understand the numbers, risks and opportunities to make sound business decisions.  Some days you’ll be challenging the assumptions in the forecast, working closely with lots of teams (commercial, strategy, finance, customer supply, production, fruit – the list is long!) and other days you will be working independently crunching data to identify trends or working on projects improving the forecasting process.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and leading parts of the forecasting process across the group, as part of our sales and operations planning process
  • Delivering forecast recommendations based on insights into performance, including seasonality, growth or decline trends
  • Owning our forecast accuracy measures and root causing process to ensure our forecast remains great
  • Owner and super user of our systems, supporting the business system capability from training users to being the ultimate guru for the business
  • A variety of projects: this could be working on our long range forecast, delivering training or rolling out significant process improvement

you'll have

  • Effective communicator: from the beginning, you will be involved in cross-functional processes with a variety of internal stakeholders to manage. Often, stakeholders will be making decisions, and you’ll need to use data to inform their decisions and challenge or influence their conclusions
  • A self-starter: the role will involve lots of opportunity for taking ownership and responsibility (e.g. for particular customers or processes) and/or working independently to develop recommendations
  • Problem-solver: able to identify and communicate underlying assumptions, risks and opportunities behind conclusions/recommendations
  • Analytical: We work with lots of numbers, as well as people, so you will need to be comfortable manipulating and analysing data in our systems and excel to turn data into insight
  • Attention to detail: this is an important part of ensuring the company has access to a single, quality forecast
  • Able to prioritise: we are a Group function overseeing forecasts for all of innocent’s products & customers, so to stay on top of the diverse workload, you’ll need to be able to relate to the bigger picture

you'll get

In return for everything you can bring, you will get a challenging role the spans the whole business.  A well a being involved with projects to improve our forecasting process.

You will help us to keep doing business the right way – keeping innocent one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work, using our B Corp status to inspire wider change, and reinforcing our culture of staying little as we grow big.

In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting, challenging role in a fast-growing and dynamic business, with plenty of career opportunities in the UK and across Europe as well as a competitive rewards package.  We also have some great clubs, a free breakfast and as many smoothies as you can shake a stick at. Take a look at our reward page for more details.

If you think you have everything we're looking for and more, then we'd love to hear from you. You'll need to get your skates on though, as applications close soon.
