A bit about the role

Innocent is growing up and maturing from a big little company to a little big company. With greater size comes greater responsibility. It is an exciting time of change with having gone live with our first factory and new ERP systems in the past few years.

We have a great opportunity for someone to support us on our journey in implementing a full SOX framework at innocent and become our SOX Compliance Lead (9-months FTC). This role is key in enabling innocent to be a responsible business and ensure we are reporting the right things in the right way.

This person will ideally be familiar with manufacturing and FMCG companies with a developed compliance framework on a medium to large scale.

In this role, you will:
  • Implement the full Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance framework across the whole business, adapting from our current SOX-lite framework. 
  • Working with shareholder compliance and controls teams (The-Coca-Cola Company) on framework best practice, compiling training materials and tools and managing timings of roll-out.
  • Working with internal technology teams to automate and systemise controls. 
  • Steer the updating of processes documentation and narratives as required from framework
  • Provide trainings to broader business on our Risk & Control Matrix requirements, roles and responsibilities
  • Work with teams across innocent on process and organisational change to ensure compliance requirements are captured.
  • Support our Group Compliance Manager on business support and ongoing control adherence and improvement.
  • Partnering with the business to improve culture of controls, increase effectiveness and land change to embed and improve compliance framework.

you'll have

What we're looking for:

  • A compliance legend – someone who has previous experience of implementing a SOX compliance framework, and solid compliance knowledge.
  • Strong project management skills – being able to finish what they begin and deliver on time.
  • A great communicator with a technical mindset but can communicate the message simply to a range of audiences including our shareholder.
  • A keen eye for detail, with a questioning mindset who can get out identify and shore up processes.
  • A structured approach to workload, who can tackle multiple streams of work and improvements in a sensible and timely way and distribute the work sensibly around the team to drive proactive management of this area.
  • Someone who is happy to get hands-on with tools and the systems to understand how we can make our processes simpler, compliance integrated and reporting easier.
  • An influential leader within Finance and beyond Finance promoting and affecting change.
