Controls & Compliance Manager

innocent started with a simple mission: to make drinks that make it easy to do yourself some good. In 1999 we concocted a few smoothies in our kitchen and tested them on people at a music festival; today we’re blending every type of fruit & veg under the sun and selling drinks right across Europe. We have great ambitions: to show the world that you can build a successful business that cares about more than just profit, and to leave things better than we find them. We’re proud to call ourselves Europe’s favourite little healthy drinks company, but we’re still growing. And that means we need more brilliant people who share our ambition, to join in with the next, most exciting, part of our story.

what you'll be doing

The growing scale and complexity of our business has created an exciting opportunity for the right person to help manage our internal control environment.

Alongside the Reporting and Compliance Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders across all areas of our business but with close connections to the finance team, and our parent company (the Coca-Cola Company), to:
  • implement processes to monitor the internal control environment and perform testing of existing controls;
  • identify control gaps and improvements, and design controls to address those;
  • performance of compliance reporting to our parent company;
  • preparation for next internal audit testing; and
  • coordination of control alignment across our regional finance operations.

you'll have

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally you’ve had experience in working in one of the major accounting practices , knowledge and experience in external audit, accounting and risk advisory and internal controls covering IFRS, US GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • experience in ERP and supply chain systems, including configuration testing and implementation of IT systems – as well as development of risks and controls frameworks, carrying out controls remediation projects including efficiency revamp of financial reporting, balance sheets and journal, inventory processes and implementation of controls self-assessment procedures
  • proven track record in managing and coordinating project teams across countries including managing senior stakeholders and working collaboratively to deliver results
  • attention to detail, but the ability to step back and see the big picture, demonstrated ability to think critically, visualise improvements and form clear, confident recommendations to drive towards them
  • desire to achieve and excel, self-motivated, well-organised, ability to prioritise and work under pressure to manage multiple deadlines, flexibility to travel where required
  • As we’re operating within the food & beverage industry it would be great if you’ve already been working within this area.
