what you'll be doing

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our UK & Ireland finance team on a fixed term basis.  

Along with the support of an Analyst, this role looks after trade investment (TI) management and has end to end ownership of P&L lines between revenue and OP including DME, OPEX and Local Logistics. As well as playing a critical role in maintaining strong financial controls and compliance, you will also work closely with the Head of UK Marketing and Head of UK Operations to provide decision support and manage financial reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis. 
 
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running as to kick things off the role will be leading on the delivery of some key commercial finance projects including supporting the transition to our new controls framework and leading on refreshing our TI management process. Then will move to a maternity cover from September including managing an analyst.  

This role is a great opportunity to develop both your commercial finance and business partnering skills whilst giving you the opportunity to be involved in key commercial finance change projects to drive accountability and effective management of our TI spend. 

You’ll be: 
  • The owner of a smooth period end delivery on TI, Logs, Marketing, upholding the integrity of our numbers by maintaining strong financial controls and processes. 
  • Playing key role in smooth audit delivery and move to new controls framework. 
  • Have ownership of our TI management, ensuring our process are audit ready and driving accountability through collaboration with UK commercial team and finance business partners, bringing visibility of risk and opportunities to UK and finance leadership. 
  • Finance business partner our UK Supply Operations Lead and our UK Marketing Lead. 
  • End to end ownership of P&L lines between revenue and Profit including Marketing, OPEX and Local Logistics, including in year performance tracking, budgeting and decision support.  

you'll have

  • A solid understanding of customer P&Ls and experience managing balance sheets. 
  • Business partnering experience and/or influencing a non-finance function. 
  • Experience in contributing to continuous improvement projects with measurable results. 
  • A strong understanding of the importance of financial controls and compliance. 
  • Strong Excel capabilities.
